Final: The Lion

After changing this board about 5 times I have finally settled with something and I am actually happy with it. Took me awhile to get here, but I am definitely loving the animal portraits.

WIP: Brutus 2.0

Last night I decided this was finished with this, even though I wasn't happy with it. This morning I got up and photographed it, so I could post it on my site. I got to the coffee shop and decided No. I do not like the bottom half of this and I want to change it...

I have no idea what I'll do with it yet, but I love the top half. I spent too much time working on that damn top half to just let it be "okay." So this is where I am at right now, but hopefully after so time I'll find something to do with it.

The whole board:

WIP: Brutus

I've been working on guy for awhile. I still think I want to put this image on a snowboard, but I am going to use the skateboard as a mock trial to see how I feel about this image and the color. Plus it'll give me an opportunity to attempt a different image from what I've been doing.

Continued sketch of Brutus:

Attempt at painting Brutus, this is only as far as I got today, and it took FOREVER. But its going somewhere I think.

Potential Snowboard Design

Started this sketch today, it is a more developed version of Brutus and so far I'm pretty happy about it. I've been thinking about getting a snowboard to paint up and I think this is the design I want.

I'm thinking of sticking with the monochromatic coloring too. Not sure yet. I still have to figure out how it would go on a board too. The bindings are going to cover parts, so I'll need to work that into the design as well. Once I know what image I want, I'll figure out working it around/ with the bindings.
